JCA® Virtual 50+ Employment Expos

Employer Instructions

  • Registration is complimentary and required.
  • Employers must have three or more job openings.
  • Employers may register for more than one expo.
  • Employers with openings in Montgomery County, MD or Northern Virginia may register for their respective expo(s). Employers with openings in Washington, DC or remote positions may register for either or both.
  • The number of home health care companies solely providing in-home healthcare opportunities is limited to two per expo.
  • Expos start at 10 a.m. with presentations designed for jobseekers aged 50+.

Employer Registration Form
  • Expos start at 10:00 a.m. with presentations designed for jobseekers aged 50+.
  • Employer presentations start at 12:05 p.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. However, we will extend the expo to accommodate additional employers.
  • The total employer time commitment on the day of the expo is 40 minutes (you are welcome to stay in Zoom chat longer than the requested 10 minutes).
  • Your scheduled time slot will be determined as the expo date approaches.

Note: We provide orientation/instructions to all registered employers 3 to 7 days before each expo at the Zoom pre-expo meeting.  The meeting lasts approximately 35 minutes.  If you are new to the expos, we request that you attend.

On the day of the Expo:

1. Join the expo via Zoom at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time slot.

2. At your scheduled time, you will present for 10 minutes.

  • During your 10-minute presentation, for the first 5 to 7 minutes, talk about your agency/association/company/organization and employment opportunities.
  • If you are still speaking at the 7-minute mark, a JCA moderator will inform you that you have 3 minutes left and let you know if there are any questions in the chat for you.
    • If there are no questions, please continue telling the jobseekers about your employment opportunities or business until your 10 minutes are up.
    • If there are questions from the jobseekers, we will ask you to please wrap up your presentation before your time is up, in order for the moderator to ask you questions from the jobseekers.
  • If your presentation ends before the 7-minute mark, please let us know that you are ready to answer questions.

If you would like additional time, please let us know by sending an email to  employmentexpos@accessjca.org.

3. After your presentation, please join Zoom chat for at least 10 minutes to answer any additional questions from the jobseekers. You are welcome to stay longer. If there are no additional questions from the jobseekers, you may exit the expo.

*Home healthcare employers only

We limit the number of home health care companies that only provide one-on-one care, such as CNAs, companions, or nurses, to two per expo. However, if you have other openings (office/hospitality/drivers, etc.) in your organization, please register and let us know about the other available openings by email to employmentexpos@accessjca.org.
