I’m Amy Leighton, the founder of Career Resources LLC, and I specialize in helping experienced professionals navigate career transitions with clarity and confidence. I bring nearly 20 years of expertise in career coaching, résumé writing, and job search strategy—helping job seekers communicate their value in ways that resonate with today’s hiring managers.

Like many of my clients, I’ve experienced career reinvention firsthand. After 15 years in human resources and employee benefits compliance, a relocation for my husband’s military assignment forced me to rethink my professional path. That transition led me to résumé writing and career coaching, blending my HR background with a deep understanding of what makes candidates stand out.

Since then, I’ve worked with professionals across industries—including government, lobbying, and mission-driven organizations—helping them refine their career narratives, develop strategic job search plans, and land meaningful roles.

Nhu-An White is a seasoned human resources professional with 19 years of full-lifecycle recruiting, employee relations and program administration and coordination experience. She has worked in and served corporate, local, and federal government sectors.

Nhu-An joined Fairfax County Department of Human Resources in 2014 as an HR Analyst. In that role she served as a business partner and supported an average of 20 county agencies–providing human resources consultation services in the areas of recruitment and selection, county personnel rules and regulations, and state and federal regulation compliance.

In her current role, Nhu-An leads, manages, and conducts executive recruitment and sourcing activities for county senior management positions. She also administers the County’s LinkedIn program by creating and curating creative and informational content to increase following, engagement, and interest in county employment.
Nhu-An earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from George Mason University.

My name is Zahra Alami; I graduated with a bachelor’s in health and behavioral sciences degree from James Madison University. I am one of two case managers with the Senior Community Service Employment Program through the Department of Family Services also referred to as a Human Service Worker III. I have worked at the county since 2021 and prior I supported those of all age groups but primarily 40 and up with intellectual and other disabilities as a clinical coordinator for group homes across Northern Virginia.
